JENNMAR Utah Cartridge Plant

JENNMAR is part of J-LOK Corporation, and they design and manufacture a wide range of products used in the mining, tunneling, civil, and construction industries. This facility in Tooele was a design-build project for a new production plant for the manufacture of cement and resin cartridges. The JENNMAR plant is a metal building with manufacturing area and minimal office space and the project also included two support building and a railroad spur. As the design-builder, Big-D Construction selected the architectural/engineering team and trade partner contractors to perform the design and construction of the facility. The team worked diligently to ensure that the Owner’s budget was met, and that the project was delivered on schedule. Construction was a challenged as most of it took place through the winter months. Big-D’s concrete crews worked around the clock to keep the project on schedule despite the weather conditions. The project was delivered in just six months.
