Copa Flats Apartments

Construction has begun on Copa Flats, a 312-unit, multi-family housing development on 13 acres in Maricopa, AZ. The affordable housing project, backed by Minnesota-based developer, Real Estate Equities has a proposed mix of one, two and three-bedroom units with the following mix: 48 one-bedroom, one-bathroom units; 108 two-bedroom, two-bathroom units; and 156 three-bedroom, two-bathroom units. Currently, 13 total buildings are expected to be built on the site. All 13 will be three stories and approximately 35 feet in height, housing 24 units per structure. This is the first of multiple projected multi-family developments scheduled for the Phoenix metropolitan area with the need for affordable housing increasing at an exponentiated rate. The project is expected to come to substantial completion by December of 2023.
