Westcore Kato Road Warehouse Core & Shell

The Kato Road project was for construction of a new, approximately 300,000-sf cross-dock warehouse on a 15.88-acre site. The building consists of a slab-on-grade foundation with concrete tilt-up wall panels, and 32-foot clear height ceilings. Construction of the building included skylights, aluminum curtainwall, a painted exterior with 54 dock height doors, ESFR fire protection, make-up air units, new electrical service, and emergency/egress lighting. Construction on the new core and shell facility took just 10 months to complete.

Big-D was subsequently contracted by Tesla Motors to complete a comprehensive tenant improvement of the entire building for use as an engineering test facility.
